I will leave it up to each and every one of you to make a determination as to whether you have a preference for one set of the Ten Commandments over the other, in this letter to my website readers I am simply a reporter.Since its first publication thirty years ago, Timothy Ware s book has become established throughout the English-speaking world as the standard introduction to the Orthodox Church. I believe that my listing of the 10 Commandments of Castrocreepersociety in my website is the first time that these Commandments have been committed to writing, even though they have been the guiding principles of Castrocreepersociety for many, many years. What struck me immediately is how totally different God’s Ten Commandments were from the Ten Commandments of Castrocreepersociety as I had inferred them from 35 years of living amidst and observing Castocreepersociety. In any event, I brought the books from my mother’s apartment in Florida home to San Francisco in March 2014 and there they lay untouched until January 3, 2016, when, for whatever reason, I opened the up the red prayer book and began reading the Ten Commandments and the notations. My hope was that the little red prayer book could give me the same comfort it had given my mother, should I ever come across difficult situations, such situations which seem to happen with regularity in my life. I do have an interest in all books but my interest in the prayer book stemmed from the comfort that I had observed the little red prayer book to have given my mother, and, finding the little white New Testament next to the prayer book, decided to take that too for good measure. I did not make my real reason known, thinking that that might have led to prolonged discussion. My siblings agreed, probably thinking that their brother, always interested in books, had a scholarly interest in the prayer book and New Testament. After she died and I was with my siblings in her apartment going through her personal effects and belongings, I asked my siblings if it was OK with them for me to take her prayer book and white leather New Testament. During the last two years of her life, as her health failed, I noticed in my visits to her that this red prayer book was never far from her person. This part of my story is concerned with a Little Red Prayer Book so let me back up a bit to my late mother’s red prayer book, the Lutheran Book of Prayer published in 1951. How I determined the Castrocreepersociety version of the 10 Commandments I will describe to you in greater detail in the section of this website labeled “The Scientific Study.” This is because, while Castrocreepersociety finds it exceedingly convenient to strictly follow the Modern version of the 10 Commandments, Castrocreepersociety is at the same time deeply ashamed and highly embarrassed to publicly own up to the fact that the Modern Version of the 10 Commandments is indeed their code of ethics. The release of the Modern version of the 10 Commandments, or the Castrocreepersociety version, comes, unattended by angels as far as I can tell, and certainly not announced with great fanfare by Castrocreepersociety because, while they deeply revere the principles of ‘their’ 10 Commandments, they would like to keep this fact a big secret. It was a big to-do, I believe angels were actually involved in the process. Moses brought God’s original 10 Commandments down from the heights of Mount Sinai after God solemnly announced them to him.
